Isaiah 12

The  Lord Is My Strength and My Song

You
The Hebrew for  you is singular in verse 1
will say b in that day:
“I will give thanks to you, O  Lord,
for though you were angry with me,
c your anger turned away,
that you might comfort me.
Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for d the  Lord  God
Hebrew  for Yah, the  Lord
is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation.”

f With joy you
The Hebrew for  you is plural in verses 3, 4
will draw water from the wells of salvation.
h And you will say in that day:

i “Give thanks to the  Lord,
call upon his name,
j make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim k that his name is exalted.
l “Sing praises to the  Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known
Or this is made known
in all the earth.
Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
for great n in your
The Hebrew for  your in verse 6 is singular, referring to the  inhabitant of Zion
